Carnival is a festive season that typically takes place in February right before Lent. It involves public celebrations and parades and people masquerade during the celebrations.
The most famous of the Carnivals take place today in Venice, Rio, New Orleans and Trinidad but did you know that Carnival is an INTERNATIONAL event celebrated in many areas around the globe?

Other places with fairly famous carnivals: Haiti, Portugal, Nice, Bolivia, Malta, Greece, Macedonia, Hungary, Russia.... you name the country and ... they probably celebrate carnival!!!!!

DeleteMy brother is in Panama for a wedding right now and enjoying carnival there. We are from St. Lucia and carnival is mainly in July. I have never played mas though!
