I'm not sure when the current frenzy about food trucks started but I am so glad that it did because I.love.a.food.truck. Fast good cultural food at my fingers tips! My family and I recently went to Brooklyn's Food truck rally at Grand Army Plaza. The rally takes places every third Sunday of the month until October.
This is yet another fairly cheap way to experience a variety of cultures in a cost effective way. Korean BBQ, Italian pizza, Thai dumplings, American burgers.... all in one spot! Most of the meals were $7 or less.

I think we will probably go EVERY Sunday - because... why not? The park is right nearby and we can take our meals, get a blanket and enjoy the day with some cultural food.

Anyone else a food truck groupie? What is your favorite food truck?
Love food trucks I first saw them in New York a few years ago and fell in love they are just now being popular down south. I want to open one but they cost so much
ReplyDeleteDo they? Didn't realize they were so expensive. But then again, the ability to cook on a truck can't be cheap
DeleteI so want this to be something that comes to Chicago in a bigger effort. My aunt wants to open a food truck as well. I may just *encourage* her. Hee hee.
ReplyDeleteI love food trucks, I wish they had more in CT. Whenever I visit New York, I'm amazed by the quality of food that can be found on those trucks.
ReplyDeleteI love food trucks and they've really become more diverse and sophisticated in the last few years. You're so lucky you have so many near you!
ReplyDeleteI have yet to live in an area where these are popular, but I always hear good things about them and they are known to have good food.
ReplyDeleteI bet it is a great way to be more diverse and culturally aware.
